The Rotary e-Club of Change Makers now has a Lifeblood Team
A Lifeblood Team is a group formed by friends, co-workers, or community members to donate blood, plasma, or platelets together and pool their life-saving tally. Individual Rotary Lifeblood teams are registered under the umbrella of Rotary Australia.
The National Blood Authority (NBA) is a Commonwealth statutory agency established by the National Blood Authority Act 2003 (Cth) It manages arrangements for the supply of blood, blood products and blood-related services in Australia. It is funded by the Australian Government (63%) and Australia's state and territory governments (37%) in accordance with the National Blood Agreement. It is an agency within the Commonwealth Department of Health, Disability and Ageing's portfolio. The National Blood Authority negotiates and manages contracts for the supply of blood and blood products and services in Australia. The Australian Red Cross Lifeblood (Lifeblood) is a division of the Australian Red Cross Society (the Australian Red Cross) and is the sole provider of fresh blood products in Australia. Lifeblood collects all blood and plasma in Australia by donation from voluntary non-renumerated donors. The fresh products are used for medical purposes, and it also supplies plasma to CSL Behring to create plasma-derived products.
