The Rotary e-Club of Change Makers and the Rotary Club of Appin Park held a fund raiser movie night for the Polio Plus Foundation at the Wangaratta Cinema Centre on 08 October 2025.
The Rotary e-Club of Change Makers and the Rotary Club of Appin Park conducted a fund raiser movie night at the Wangaratta Cinema Centre, 1st Floor, The Co Store Complex, Corner of Ovens St and Reid St, Wangaratta VIC 3677 on 08 October 2025.
The film was titled 'The Travellers' and directed by Bruce Beresford, whose other films include Breaker Morant (1980), Tender Mercies (1983), Crimes of the Heart (1986), Driving Miss Daisy (1989), Mao's Last Dancer (2009) and Ladies in Black (2018). The film stars Bryan Brown, Luke Bracey, Susie Porter and Nicholas Hammond.
There were 70 people who attended the film.
The net proceeds of AU$ 672.00 (US$ 436.33) were donated to the Polio Plus Foundation. This donation was transformed to US$ 1 308.99 with the matching contribution from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which provides for 9 349 polio vaccines.
